Rachel Gerny is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in mental health and substance abuse related concerns. She received a B.A. from Simmons College, an M.A. in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Rachel is training in EMDR therapy and the Trauma Resilience Model (TRM) which focus on helping clients identify and reprocess blocks to recovery and healing. She received specialty training in Post Modern therapies including Solution Focused and Narrative, and she facilitates groups in Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodrama, and Trauma Resilience.
In Rachel’s experience, we all have great capacity for personal growth. Psychotherapy and group therapy can be a powerful and effective means to implement change and improve our lives. Working collaboratively, Rachel helps individuals, couples and families discover their unique strengths and identify new ways to enhance wellbeing, purpose and connection.
