Maggie Lavey brings over 12 years of experience in Mental Health Counseling, using a variety of evidence-based approaches with a foundation focused on her clients’ unique life experiences, strengths and goals. She holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University, and is a professional clinical counselor associate. Maggie is currently a doctoral student going through her final dissertation process to become a Psy.D, with an emphasis on Health and Wellness. Additionally, she is certified in trauma informed yoga, mindfulness meditation, and EMDR.
Maggie has a passion for trauma informed treatment, working with clients who have anxiety, depression, relational trauma and complex PTSD. She takes a humanistic, holistic approach to the therapeutic relationship. She facilitates groups on anger management, addiction education and co-occurring conditions.
In her spare time, Maggie enjoys spending time in nature, doing yoga and meditation, listening to music traveling, and engaging in activities that enhance joy.
