Heroin addiction has been a growing crisis across the country for years, and recent statistics show increasing deaths from opiate and heroin overdose. Addressing this public health crisis is the FBI-produced film Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict. While the film is difficult to watch, it will provide an educational resource for people across the United States – to understand the severity of the crisis and prevent the deadly trend from continuing. The film is aimed specifically at young people, with goals to prevent painkiller abuse which often acts as a bridge to heroin use.
